ODYSSEE-MURE 2007-2009 Project Information
- Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE 2007);
- ODYSSEE + MURE data bases on policies and measures;
- Covering 29 countries (EU27 + Norway and Croatia);
- Duration of 2 Years, starting from 18 September 2007;
- 1,7 M€ of which 0,84 M€ from IEE;
- 4 workshops.
Project Objectives
- Monitor energy efficiency progress (and CO2-reduction);
- Understand the energy demand trends;
- Compare the differences between countries in their relative energy efficiency performance;
- Measure the contribution of innovative energy efficiency and renewables technologies to the Lisbon targets of competitiveness;
- Evaluate the impact of national energy efficiency policy measures and EU Directives.
Features of ODYSSEE-MURE 27
- The project relies on two comprehensive data bases, that have been developed progressively over the last 15 years:
- These data base are updated by national teams, generally the national energy efficiency agencies (or their representative), with a centralised management (Enerdata for ODYSSEE and ISIS-Fraunhofer-ISIS for MURE), that are in charge of the quality control and assistance to the countries;
- ODYSSEE and MURE data bases: a framework for the compilation of:
- All relevant data on energy consumption, energy efficiency/CO2 from multiple sources (national/ EU level; SAVE/EIE monitoring studies;
- All policy measures implemented and their impact evaluation whenever available => memory function.
