The EBRD is hosting its Energy Efficiency Excellence Awards ceremony for the third time in Slovakia on 25 November 2010, celebrating the most successful investments implemented in the country with the support of joint funding from the Bohunice International Decommissioning Support Fund (BIDSF) and the EBRD.

In September 2009, Enviros launched the PERMANENT project, aimed at increasing the knowledge about monitoring and verification of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Measurement and Verification (M&V) of energy efficiency projects is an important tool towards removing the distrust in projected savings and payback from the site of financial institutions and decision makers on corporate level.

The EBRD is increasing its commitments to promote sustainable energy projects in Slovakia with a new €90 million funding under the existing Slovakia Sustainable Energy Finance Facility (SLOVSEFF, now SLOVSEFF II) to ensure continuous implementation of energy efficiency and small renewable energy projects. The project was launched in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, on 2 March 2010.

In the framework of the European project Ex-BESS, ENVIROS, s.r.o. has been cooperating on the development of a model for energy management for small and medium size enterprises (SMEs). The main objective of the energy management implementation model (EMIM) is to offer SMEs a toolkit that helps these firms to introduce a system of energy management.
The web-based model consists of a guidebook for energy management and enables these firms to implement such a system on their own. The model has been developed in the first place for the food and drinks industry, but may also help other industrial branches.
The EMIM model is available in all major EU languages at the web-address http://www.bess-project.info/. Enviros has been responsible for the Czech version of the website that has also been published on CD-ROM.
The Czech company ENVIROS, involved with the Czech development aid in RP,
joined the Czech government efforts in raising further funds for Ondoy victims
in the Philippines. Within direct coordination with the Czech Embassy in Manila
will be submitted the donation for buying of medicines, bottled water, blankets
and dry clothing, food and other essential items in the areas of Marikina, Muntinlupa, and Quezon City.

Enviros is a Czech partner of the European Project IUSES – Intelligent Use of Energy at School, which is focused on the education of high school pedagogues and students in the area of energy savings in three particular spheres: building, industry and transport. In autumn 2009 Enviros will host a two-day seminar.

The event was organised in cooperation with Ministry of Economy
and took place in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, on 20 November 2008.
The unique event acknowledged and rewarded the most successful residential
energy efficiency projects implemented in 2008. More than two hundred housing cooperatives have been participating in the competition for the first edition of the awards this year.

In November 2007, a team of ENVIROS experts succesfully finalised the project of Foreign Development Aid of the Czech Republic to Republic of Serbia „The Transfer of Experience in the Application of Advanced Environmental Technologies to the Use of Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency Improvements in the Šumadija Region and the Municipality of Kragujevac”. One of the outputs of the project was also a Catalogue of suppliers of energy efficiency and renewable energy related technologies and services from the Czech Republic with specific focus on the Republic of Serbia.

The workshop ETTAR – Transport and the Environment – Barriers to the take-up of more efficient transport and logistics planning, training and awareness raise methods, which was co-organised by ENVIROS, s. r. o., and Ecologic, took place in Prague, Czech Republic, on January 24 and 25, 2008.
This workshop is integrated in a project financed under the Sixth Framework Programme for the promotion of new environmental technologies in the transport sector.

The main objective of the ENFUGEN project (1 April 2005 – 31 March 2007) is to maximise the participation of research centers and researchers from Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia in FP6 thematic priority area „Sustainable Energy Systems” and specifically in the field of fuel cells and hydrogen energy. ENFUGEN will also provide a wider support on promoting research expertise from these countries, with specific emphasis on Romania and Bulgaria.

The first of national seminars with the title „Financing of RUE and RES projects from EU funds in the period 2007–2013” took place in Zlin, Czech Republic, on 4 October 2006.
The aim of the seminar was to present and discuss experiences related to development of projects, development of applications for funding from EU funds and possibilities, conditions and limitations for funding from Structural and Cohesion funds in the programming period 2007–2013 to all interested stakeholders in the region as well as other regions. There were almost 50 participants at the seminar.

On a yearly basis ENVIROS organises a Student Competition in the field of low energy and low cost social housing projects. The competition focuses on the projects of students of higher classes of Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Architecture. The winning projects were awarded by ENVIROS and also submitted to the Energy Project of the Year 2005 organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic. The result of the ENVIROS Student Prize 2005 were announced on the ceremony in the Crib Chapel in Prague, Czech Republic, on 9 March 2006.

ENVIROS realised a Pilot Project for utilisation of fuel cells in the Czech Republic. The project "Fuel Cell at the Czech Technical University, Faculty of Electric Power, Prague" (where the fuel cell is located) was supported by the Czech Energy Agency and developed in cooperation with the University. The laboratory of the fuel cells was inaugurated on April 14, 2005, by the Deputy of the Minister of the Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Mr. Martin Pecina, MBA, and the Dean of the University, Prof. Vladimir Kucera.

ENVIROS provides an expert infrared camera measuring on a stand-alone basis or as a supplement to the energy consulting services.
ENVIROS experts successfuly finished their large-scale project "Building the Energy Office in Kosovo".
Along with the company b.i.d services we were a co-organizer of a conference and a workshop on the EU Emission Trading Scheme. The event took place in Don Giovanni Hotel, Prague, Czech Republic on 12 – 13 October 2004.
In September 2004 we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our successful performance in the market of an energy and environmental consultancy.
ENVIROS runs the Czech Energy Management Centre EMPRESS (Energy Management and Performance Related Energy Saving Scheme) subsided by the UNEP and GEF. The project is focused on an energy management introduction by means of Monitoring and Targeting implementation and ESCOs in Czech and Slovak companies.
We are a partner of the SUSTELNET project – Policy and Regulatory Roadmaps for the Integration of Distributed Generation and the Development of Sustainable Electricity Networks.
An international conference of Distributed Generation and the Development of Sustainable Electricity Networks – The Challenges for Policy and Regulation was held in Amsterdam on April 29, 2004.
We have finished the Integrated Energy Plan of Frydlant Microregion. The primary aim of the project was to support local administration of the Frydlant microregion in regional planning by development of Integrated Energy Plan and Action Plan for promotion of RUE and RES, identifying priorities and giving guidelines for implementation of recommended actions/measures in order to promote RUE and utilisation of RES, reduce pollution of the environment and stimulate employment at the regional level.

ENVIROS experts take part of the LOCOSOC project – LOw COst SOCial housing. Project LOCOSOC uses large experiences and many practical applications what can be found in the Netherlands and Austria for further implementation in associated countries. The primary objective of the project is thus to promote integration of RUE and RES in both new social housing co-financed from public budgets and also existing residential buildings in the state/municipal property in associated countries with the aim to develop low energy and low cost social housing system in these countries.
Within the project ENVIROS made a contest for the best students' work in the field of low cost social housing. The results were declared on the ceremonial opening of the Prague Eco City fair trades.
ENVIROS, s. r. o., together with the Czech Energy Agency, participaded in the Inteligent Energy for Europe project „Evaluation and Monitoring of Energy Efficiency in the New EU Member Countries and the EU-25 (EEE-NMC)” during the years 2006–2007.
