ENVIROS is joining Phase 3 of the European City Facility program

ENVIROS recently participated in a two-day kick-off meeting for the European City Facility (EUCF) program, which brought together the project’s core team, including the National Hubs. The goal of the meeting was to prepare for the launch of a new phase of this successful European initiative.

ENVIROS plays a significant role in the third phase of the EUCF—it is one of the six main project partners and, through the National Hubs network, provides support to cities and municipalities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and North Macedonia.
The EU CF program helps cities and municipalities turn their plans for sustainable energy and climate protection into concrete investment projects. It provides them with funding and technical support in preparing projects that can subsequently secure the necessary investment financing.

This new phase builds on the successes of previous rounds, during which the EUCF has already supported more than 400 local governments across Europe. It now offers further opportunities:
• 11.1 million EUR earmarked for financial support to cities and municipalities
• 185 supported applicants, each of whom will receive a grant of 60,000 EUR
• The first call for proposals will be announced as early as the end of October 2026; additional calls are planned for 2027

Another significant development is the expansion of the EUCF to additional countries. North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Moldova are now joining the EU member states, Iceland, and Ukraine.

Through the National Hubs network, ENVIROS will continue to provide practical information, advice, and expert support to local governments interested in securing funding and preparing high-quality investment plans.

Veronika Hajná serves as the National Hub for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, while Katerina Maneva Mitrovikj fulfills this role for North Macedonia.

Thanks to new funding opportunities, expansion into additional European countries, and a broader scope of supported activities, the third phase of the EUCF will help an even greater number of cities and municipalities move their energy and climate plans toward implementation.
ENVIROS is a proud partner of this initiative and looks forward to further collaboration with cities and municipalities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and North Macedonia. Together, we are helping to transform ambitious plans into concrete investments in a more sustainable future.
