A ceremony marking the completion of the implementation phase of the energy-saving project using the EPC (Energy Performance Contracting) method was held at Vyškov Hospital. Thanks to the extensive modernization of the hospital’s energy management system, it will achieve guaranteed energy cost savings of more than 85 million CZK over the course of the project. The project will also contribute to increased energy efficiency, the modernization of the hospital’s technical infrastructure, and a reduction in its carbon footprint.
As part of the project, a number of energy-saving measures were implemented, including the modernization of heat sources, the installation of a photovoltaic power plant, the renovation of the ventilation system, the modernization of lighting, and other technical measures aimed at reducing the energy intensity of operations.
ENVIROS handled the project preparation
ENVIROS has been involved in the project since its inception. For Vyškov Hospital, we provided:
- preparation of an analysis of the suitability of the EPC method,
- the administration of the public procurement process for selecting an energy service provider (ESCO),
- management of the grant during the project implementation phase.
We collaborated on the project with DS Energy Consulting, which provided organizational and legal support during the project’s preparation and implementation.
Support from the ELENA KB Program
Komerční banka supported the submission of an application for financial support from the National Environment Program (NPŽP) through the ELENA KB program, which helps public investors finance the preparation of energy-saving projects. Thanks in part to this support, it was possible to lay a solid foundation for the successful implementation of the entire investment.
