In 2011, our company prepared a background analysis for the Ministry of the Environment for the transposition of Chapter III and Annex V of Directive 2010/75/EU on industrial emissions into the new Air Protection Act.

The work specifically included:

• Assessment of the possibilities of ensuring compliance with the emission limits set out in the Directive for individual sources that may be exempted from compliance with the emission limits under Chapter III and Annex V of the Directive;
• Assessment of the need for changes to the aggregation rules contained in the draft new Air Protection Act;
• Proposal and justification of the optimal scope and method of transposition of the aggregation rules and exemptions from the emission limits set out in Part 1 of Annex V to the Directive, taking into account the minimisation of emissions, air quality impacts and the revision of the Gothenburg Protocol;
• Preparation of a draft position of the Czech Republic on the review under Article 30(9).
