Press Release – Czech companies are not using sustainability to strengthen their competitiveness. Many are struggling to anchor it in their management structure and are not prepared for the reporting obligations

Up to 80% of Czech companies perceive ESG reporting obligations as a necessary evil. They often lack the human and other resources to meet these requirements that await them in the near future. As of 2026, companies with more than 250 employees (or meeting other criteria) will be required to submit a corporate ESG report for 2025 in addition to their financial statements. This report, approved by the auditor, will become a mandatory part of the documents uploaded to the registry court database. This is based on the findings of ENVIROS, a member of the Komerční banka Group, which provides consultancy in the field of non-financial reporting.
